EWPA – Experienced Worker Practical Assessment (DSA Assessed Group)
An EWPA provides experienced operatives with a pathway to achieve a NVQ qualification through simulation. This route is designed for workers with at least 2 years of experience in drilling and sawing who do not require additional training.
Course Content
During the assessment, the operatives showcase their expertise in:
- Power Sawing
- Ring Sawing
- Track Sawing
- Static Drill Rig Diamond Core
- Percussive Drilling
- Handheld Diamond Core or Drill
- Push Along Floor Sawing
- Self-Propelled Floor Sawing
- Angle Grinder
- Chasing Machine
- + Addionals
This assessment also includes a professional discussion and a question session to evaluate the operative’s occupational knowledge and understanding.
Who should attend this course
- Operatives with at least 2 years of experience in drilling and sawing
- Those looking for qualifications within drilling and sawing without more training
Grandfather Rights Are Coming to an End
All cards issued through Industry Accreditation or Grandfather Rights (DSA assessed group) will lapse by December 31, 2024. Failure to complete the required qualifications by this date could result in the loss of site access and the inability to maintain your current role.
